About Brian Wadsworth

Wadsworth has devoted a majority of his career in public service. He started his career in public service by working for the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe as the Human Resources Assistant. After a couple of years in Human Resources, he transferred to the Tribe’s Environmental Department to take on the role as the Water Quality Manager. In this role, Wadsworth oversaw the Tribe’s Water Quality Program. In his time as the Water Quality Manager, he succeeded in completing the Tribe’s first Triennial Review of its Water Quality Standards. This process was accomplished by coordinating with Pyramid Lake Fisheries Department, State of Nevada Department of Environmental Protection, City of Reno, City of Sparks, City of Fernley, Washoe County, the Town of Truckee, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

After working for his Tribe, Wadsworth went to work for the Nevada Department of Transportation as an Auditor in their Internal Audit Department. As an Auditor, he reviewed contracts and agreements for compliance. He later transferred to the Governor’s Finance Office in the Division of Internal Audits as an Executive Branch Auditor. In this role, he conducted Performance Audits on State of Nevada Executive Branch agencies and reported his recommendations to the Executive Branch Audit Committee.

He currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for a non-profit public media company, where he oversees all internal operations of the company, advocates for public safety for all of our communities, and works hand-in-hand with public Tribal radio and television stations throughout the country.
